Mission
To train veterinary doctors in a multinational African context.To date 975 veterinary doctors have been trained, including 100 women.
Objectives
- Develop better student support
- Allocate time for internships and personal work
- Facilitate pedagogical cooperation within and between educational institutions
Training format
Currently six years of study as follows:
- A preparatory year sanctioned by the Preparatory Certificate for Veterinary Studies (CPEV)
- Four years of studies leading to the Certificate of Completion of Veterinary Studies (CFSEV)
- A final year to write and present a thesis and receive the State Veterinarian Doctor DiplomaAs of November 2006, EISMV has implemented the LMD system by reorganising teaching in semesters.
Educational Units and training programmes
The training is structured around two academic departments under the direction of a Study Coordinator:
- Department of Biological Sciences and Animal Productions
- Department of Public Health and Environment, with the support of the Communication Department
