Certain colleagues win tenders on competitive projects and therefore benefit from substantial funds under the framework of the National Fund for Agricultural Research in Senegal (FNRAA) enabling them to work for a three year period.
Other donors include: IDRC, FAO, EISMV, AUF… Researchers also use their own funds.
Collaborative research can sometimes also benefit from outside funding (CIRAD, IRD ...)
