Student Mobility

EISMV seeks to facilitate the mobility of its students. This is evidenced primarily by the diversity of geographical origins of students on campus in Dakar. During their training, these students have to undertake a minimum of four internships, including some in their countries of origin.

In year four, they participate in a rural fortnight internship. This course takes place in Mauritania or Mali. It is organised with support of local resource persons, and helps place students in professional situations in an environment other than Dakar or their country of origin, which broadens their experience.

This theme of mobility is also taken into account by several cooperation agreements signed with EISMV partners. The National Veterinary School of Toulouse (France) can accommodate a limited number of students to participate in certain lessons and clinical training. Exchanges of students are also possible with the Institute of Science and Technology University of Abeche, Chad.

The International Trypanotolerance Centre in Banjul accepts students in internship.

Finally, the Centre for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD, Montpellier, France) accommodates students in doctoral training, and mentors students doing internships in their fields of research.
